Jonathan has been providing assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and psychotherapy services to individuals and families for over 25 years. He has worked as a licensed psychologist or psychotherapist in Ohio, Michigan, the United Kingdom, and Washington. He has worked with clients of all ages and with a variety of mental health issues. However, he has had specialized training and experience working with clients dealing with personality disorders, eating disorders, resistant depression, and in managing clients in crisis. Additionally, he has extensive experience in areas including anxiety disorders, family/couples therapy, clients managing severe mental illness, and in working with adolescents.

psychometric assessment
More than 20 years of experience in the administration, scoring and interpretation of a variety of personality and intellectual measures including the MMPI-2, the MCMI-III, the Rorschach Inkblot Test, the WAIS-III, the WISC-III, and others.
clinical supervision
I have had the privilege of providing clinical supervision to individuals seeking Masters and Doctoral degrees in Counseling and Psychology and those seeking licensure over a period of more than 15 years. I am accredited as a clinical supervisor in the state of Washington. I hope to continue providing supervision to interns and clinicians seeking licensure.
diagnostic evaluation
Years of experience working to provide clinical diagnosis for both children and adults in a variety of mental health settings. Adept with the older multi-axial diagnostic system but familiar and experiences with the newest DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Illness) system.
clinical specialties
During my 27 years of doing psychotherapy, I have had worked with a variety of populations who have had a diversity of mental health problems. However, I have had training and experience giving me some specialization in the areas of personality disorders, eating disorders, resistant depression, and in working with clients in the midst of crises. I have also had training in a variety of treatment modalities including CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), psychodynamic therapies, humanistic therapy, Motivational Interviewing, some Gestalt Therapy techniques, and others. In using an eclectic approach to therapy, I am able to find the techniques that work best with each individual.
psychotherapy
My primary role throughout my career has been providing direct psychotherapy services to clients. These services have been provided in community mental health centers, clinics, hospitals, and in a private practice setting. I have worked with clients across all age groups, races, sexual orientations, and financial/educational groups. My experience also includes a great variety of mental health issues and diagnoses.
education and teaching
During my career, I have had the opportunity to teach courses and give lectures at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I have also had the opportunity to do several inservice trainings at several of the organizations that I have worked at. I have an ongoing interest in passing along my knowledge and experience to others.
